I also hold a list of camps including our own Mayflower Camps, that are happening on the Field in Norfolk this year. |

Dance Camp Wales DCW is a large music and dance camp, (500-600 people), and has been running since 1986 - (if I remember right). We used to go regularly for the first several years and I had the time of my life again and again. For me this was the mother camp, though there are other large camps that have been influential from |
Dance Camp East info@dancecampeast.org DCE now runs at a new site in Suffolk. After a year off in 2004, it will be running again this year. |

Passages Camps Set in a beautiful secluded valley in view of Glastonbury Tor for people who want to experience the challenges and pleasures of living together and being creative with others |
Dance Camp North More a child of DCW, with a similar emphasis on Circle dance, but also a lot of Universal Peace dance. |
|
Oxford Dance Camp This was a small offshoot camp from some DCE campers and has been running for a few years now. |
Campscene Directory This site is linked to a mail shot publication that has a lot of details for other camps of many kinds. |
|
The Small Festival The ethos of the event is that everyone contributes/participates in some way, dissolving the artificial divide of audience and performer. Not everyone has to go on stage or run a workshop; contribution may include building the bonfire, clearing up etc - but there is a magic that evolves during the weekend that's great to be around. |

Camps are place/relationships where I am opened into a greater participation and freedom of being. The obvious next step is to renew and maintain this aliveness in each day regardless of whether I am at a camp or not! The very nature of losing a loving sense of ourself or our life is to get stuck in old strategies of survival which are seemingly self-protecting but dont serve who we actually are!
There are myriad teachings and teachers and I could fill a page with sources for which I am personally grateful. But I felt to link to Raj because he offers such a practical and grounded expression of awakened love. |
|
Raj: Sharing the Gift A site I have made with transcripts of Qs & A's. After reading some as huge blocks of text I felt to make it more spacious and and accessible. |
The Point of Perfection Raj's site - free audio and text files of gatherings and contemplations. Ongoing workshops, forums and live feeds. |

LiveLifeLightly - Sarah Partridge. Classes, workshops, training and networking - mostly from 'Sanctuary' in rural Suffolk. Seasonally inspired personal development. |
Worldance - Circle Dancing with Stefan & Bethan Accessible, celebratory multi-cultural dance. Voice and drumming workshops. |

Community Building in Britain Community Building as the term is used here, is the process originally set-up by Dr M Scott Peck (Author of 'The road less travelled' and "The different drum'). Whilst there are significant differences with our camps experience, there is also much common ground. I recommend reading the part of the Different Drum that relates to the processes of community building. |

Martin Wilkes (AKA Music Martin) wrote an article with a bit of background to camps in general. You can read it here. |
